ROPE CARE GUIDE
Congratulations on purchasing your new Roar Intensity rope. You might have some questions in regards to use or maintenance but please read the information below or email us at info@roarintensity.com.au should you require further assistance.
All our ropes are made with quality materials, however its important to take care when handling your rope. If proper care is taken your rope is likely to last much longer and handle better.
FIRST TIME USE
When opening your rope for the first time you might notice there are some slight kinks. This is normal and will go away over time depending on storage this should not affect the use of the rope. Before you start skipping ensure you adjust the rope to the correct length - See Rope Sizing Guide.
JUMP SURFACE
The surface on which you skip is an important factor to the lifespan of your rope. We recommend avoiding hard or abrasive surfaces such as: concrete, wood, tiles, decking ect as this can over time damage the PVC section of the rope. A rubber mat or gym flooring will increase the wear of your rope and have you jumping for much longer.
ROPE STORAGE
Your Roar Intensity rope comes with a water resistant carry bag, however when the rope is not in use for long periods of time it is advised to hang your rope from a hook or over a door frame from the middle of the PVC. This can over time reduce any kinks in the rope, which does improve rope rotations and rope life.
ROPE CLEANING
After extended use, dependent on what surface you are jumping on, you might notice some dirt forming in the middle of your rope. This is normal and due to the way the rope hits the ground during each rotation. In most cases just leave the rope how it is or wipe it down with a damp cloth to get it looking good as new in no time.
